Eight Quick Tips For Stopping SPAM
August 31st, 2008
If you are buried in SPAM then you’re not alone. It’s been suggested that as
much as 50% to 75% of the e-mail traffic on any given day is SPAM. Reading
through SPAM is a waste of your time and it subjects you to potential viruses,
trojan horses, and sexual material which can be quite offensive. Here are some
tips on how to win the SPAM war:
1. Use a throwaway email address when posting to public news groups and chat
rooms and for your Yahoo or MS Messenger Chat accounts. You can get free email
addresses at Yahoo, HotMail and other places. Use your personal ISP-provided
email address only to communicate with trusted sources. If you are an AOL user
then set up an additional email account to use for public posting purposes.
When your free or spare email account starts getting abused just close it and
open another.
2. Take the time to set up different email addresses for different purposes.
Have one for business communications, another for personal and another one for
shopping online. That way you can avoid the risk of exposing one e-mail
address to all of your contacts.
3. If you own your own web site then the chances are that your hosting account
comes with the ability to create new e-mail addresses on the fly. These are
addresses that will automatically forward to your main address. If you have
that capability then use a unique address for each web site or mailing list
that you choose to join. For example, if your site name is abc.com and you
decide to join the mailing list located at xyz.com, you would join using the
address xyz@abc.com. If you start getting SPAM to this address then you know
that the people who run xyz.com are responsible. You can complain to them and
their ISP and you can easily delete that email address.
4. Don’t list your email address on your own web site in plain html or as a
link to a contact form. Spammers use automated robots to capture these
addresses and add them to SPAM databases. Instead use an email cloaking script
whenever you need to show your email address. You can search at Google.com
using the phrase “email cloaking” and come up with a lot of options. Just pick
the one that works best for your particular needs.
5. Do not buy anything from a company that sends you SPAM. Not only might the
company or offer be a scam but you are jumping right into the fire by letting
spammers know that your email address is active and that you buy from spammers.
Your address will be sold to thousands of other spammers.
6. Never reply to a spammer or click the “remove my address” link. That only
lets them know that your address is good.
7. If your email service or email client comes with SPAM filters use them.
8. You might want to think about subscribing to a SPAM prevention service.
Search on Google.com for “SPAM prevention service” and review your options.
Following these simple tips could cut your SPAM down by as much as 90%.
Wouldn’t that be great!

Email Anti Spam And Virus Protection For Businesses - There Is Hope
August 29th, 2008
With anti spam vendors offering low cost licensing, businesses can now afford advanced email spam and virus protection with a simple to use interface at a much lower cost. The great thing about technology is that as it evolves it gets faster, additional features and economical. Over the past few years the same evolution has taken place with anti spam technology and services. In large part this can be attributed to the open source software community plus enterprising companies enhancing the capabilities of this software and packaging it into easy to use anti spam appliances.
It is not practical to have anti spam software running on desktops in a networked business environment. Managing all employee junk email software at the desktop is not realistic. It can be a nightmare and costly in terms time and licensing.
Spam appliances sit in front of your email server so that when email comes in it will first go to the spam appliance and the email will be scanned for spam as well as viruses. The filter will block the message if it identified as know spam. If the filter is not sure if the email is genuine it will quarantine and hold the email at the filter and it will be stored until the recipient deletes it, releases it to their email box, or they can white list a trusted correspondent so that future emails will not be held back. This will greatly reduce the load on your email server and reduce your bandwidth needs. We have seen anti spam systems block up to 83% of incoming messages. This could help extend the life of your email server and push back the need for upgraded capacity.
Most virus outbreaks occur via email and for little cost an appliance can block viruses before they reach your network and user’s inboxes. This provides an extra layer of defense in addition to your current anti virus solution.
Businesses have two options if they use an appliance based solution for their spam and virus control. They can purchase and administer their own filter. This is a good option if you have a large number of employee mailboxes to protect and the technical staff to administer the spam appliance. Businesses also have the option to outsource their spam control as a hosted service. This is a good choice for smaller companies and if information technology is not your specialty.
If you purchase your own spam filter, a subscription to updates may also be required. Make sure you get upfront pricing for the add-ons that you will need. If you have more than 100 email users and the technical staff to maintain the spam appliance, buying your own filter may be your best option. Generally the basic model will work for most organizations. Large organizations with thousands of users will require a spam filter appliance with increases capacity and features. Spam appliances are designed to work with all mail systems but some do have specific enhancements for Exchange server Microsoft’s popular collaboration software and mail servers that support LDAP (light weight directory access protocol). Spam appliances use the LDAP protocol to verify recipients before delivering messages to your email server, this avoids consuming server resources.
If your business has five to one hundred employees, then an outsourced anti spam and virus filter service is going to be a good economical choice for your organization. Fees are based on the number of users and you only pay for what you use. You will not have hardware to buy, maintain, and upgrade. The upfront cost is minimal and most email filtering providers will let you try the service for free at first. Another added benefit to outsourcing your spam control is redundancy. It is important that you choose a provider that has their spam and virus filters collocated at secure interne t data center facilities. Data centers provide redundant network connections and power, so if your email server or internet connection is down unexpectedly the spam appliance will hold your email until your email server becomes available, minus spam and viruses.
Anti spam technology is constantly improving and the costs are getting lower. With increased productivity and an added layer of defense against virus attacks, an anti spam appliance or service is something your business can not afford to be without.
Fantastic cars to win at Dutch windeprijsvraag
August 27th, 2008
7 months ago a Dutch dutch online company begun with a dutch online contests. Really great micro waves to be won at dutch online sweepstakes. Members sign up once and are entered to various sweepstakes each month. Sweepstakes are generally easier and quicker to enter than contests. Many state lotteries also run a second chance sweepstakes in conjunction with the retail sale of state lottery scratch cards. The reason why contests are treated differently is that the winners are not chosen by chance but by an element of skill. There are also other online services, which automatically enter members into sweepstakes. Sweepstakes are frequently used by fast-food restaurants to boost business. Sweepstakes are also legally different from contests in the United States. Really everybody can win super prizes every 21 hours.

The Biggest Temptation When Working At A Home-Based Business
August 22nd, 2008
>From what I have seen and experienced, to quit is the greatest temptation during the first year of working at a home-based business. If smoking was like working at a home-based business, the occurence of lung cancer would be dramatically reduced.
It is a known fact that a majority of the people that undertake a work at home business do not achieve real success. There are several reasons for this, but one of the primary reasons is that these people get frustrated and do not allow themselves enough time to succeed.
In the early going, one of the most difficult things about developing a new home based business is dealing with the emotional roller coaster that can result from the highs (successes) and lows (temporary setbacks) you are almost certain to experience. Once you have done the research and decided on a particular home based business opportunity, you really need to focus on persistence and realize that any real business will not just automatically become successful in a matter of days or weeks. You should be prepared to give it your best sustained effort for at least 6 to 12 months in order to begin to build a solid business base and begin to see some good income.
Highs and lows were something that I began to notice when I first started a home based business. I have many years of top level management experience in “traditional” corporations and have experienced lots of business cycles (corporate “ups and downs”), but the natural “ups and downs” that occur in a home business (particularly in the early stages) can be brutal from an emotional standpoint if you don’t prepare yourself in advance for the fact that it is a basic law of nature…it will be a rocky road until you have spent enough time and effort to build your business to a level that sort of smoothes out the peaks and valleys.
The impact of the highs and lows you will probably experience in developing your home based business is amplified by the fact that you are now in business on your own. You are the boss and get to make all the decisions, but you are also on your own in dealing with the frustrations that will occur along the way while you are developing your business.
When working at home a person can, at times, experience a feeling of isolation which is probably brought on by the lack of interaction of a work force environment.
There can also be periods of doubt in the early going…gee, did I pick a viable business opportunity?…am I doing the right things to develop my business?…when will I start making a profit?, and so on.
You are most likely going to experience the “two steps forward and one step backward” syndrome and the ever-looming temptation to become discouraged. However, keep in mind that as long as you have more steps going forward than backward, you will eventually get ahead! Simple, but often overlooked.
Relatively minor setbacks can seem huge in the early stages of developing a work at home business and can really contribute to some noticeable “mood swings”. For example, if you are just starting out and you have four customers/clients and you happen to lose one…that’s a 25% drop! However, if you fast-forward in time to the point where you have hundreds of customers/clients and you lose one…that’s just a mere fraction of 1%! Exactly the same event, just at a different point in time.
Hang in there and just keep on keepin’ on. If you have chosen a viable home business opportunity (one that has been around for awhile and in which some other people are having success) you will achieve success, but it takes time and there will be ups and downs along the way. Remember the old saying…”it takes a long time to become an overnight success”.
Yorkie Talk
August 22nd, 2008
If you’ve never met a Yorkshire Terrier, then you’ve missed out on one of life’s more entertaining experiences. These inquisitive little dogs are absolutely adorable. They usually top out at about 7 pounds, with some weighing a little more, and some a little less.
However; the only thing tiny about them is their structure. Their loyalty, personality, and courage will often top that of a 110 pound dog. Yorkies are exceptionally smart, and in spite of their small size, make excellent watch dogs. They must see a 100 pound image when they look in a mirror, because they’ll seldom back down from anything. Their determination to protect their owner could indeed get them in a heap of trouble if they’re not careful.
Your home is in good hands when there is a Yorki on board. The slightest noise awakens them and they’re immediately ready to pursue the “invader”.’
The origination of the Yorkshire Terrier is not entirely certain, but they are believed to have originated somewhere in England. They are part of the terrier group and it is believed they were used to hunts rats and other vermin–and yes, sometimes they like to dig.
Because Yorkies are tenacious little characters, they are sometimes accused of being difficult to train, but with perserverance and consistency, training should not be much of a problem. The earlier the training starts, the better. Yorkies need to know early in life what is and what is not acceptable behavior. They’ re like small children, and will try to get away with as much as possible.
Yorkie puppies start out as adorable little fluffy black and tan furballs that mature into beautiful steel blue and tan adults with long silky coats. These beautiful coats however, take regular ongoing maintenance.
Many owners that have a Yorkie for companionship, and who don’t intend to show the dog , opt to keep their dog in a shorter cut to alleviate some of this maintenance. This is an option that you may want to consider also unless you’re willing to commit to considerable time maintaining your Yorkie.
Yorkie’s are a very adaptable dog, and fit in well with a variety of different types of families from apartment tenants to country dwellers with large fenced in yards. They are extremely loyal to their owners and aim to please. They are very energetic, but are certainly not opposed to curling up in your lap for some love and personal attention.
Due to their small size they do better with older children if they’re going to be around children at all. Because of the Yorkie’s “big” attitude, we often forget that they’re a small dog. Care must be taken when placing a Yorkie on a couch or bed or anyplace up off the floor. They will not hesitate to jump off and could quite possibly break a leg in doing so. A Yorkie may not be the perfect dog, but what they lack in some areas, they make up in personality, and are currently ranked in the top ten of most popular breeds.

Cheating Wives - Play with Your Lives!
August 16th, 2008
Many wives cheat on their husbands. This could be due to the fact that the husband does not give much of his time to his wife. The husband is usually the bread winner in a family and spends most of his time at work. This is especially so when a husband is self-employed and works for himself. His time becomes more important to him to work as he needs to make money for the family to survive.
If your husband is a workaholic then your lives are even more at risk from your wife cheating on her husband. Sometimes the husband can become so engrossed in his work that it may seem to the wife that he is totally ignoring her. When she tries to tell him something he is only half listening and this is very frustrating for the wife. The wife ay become bored with her husband as she seeks his attention. The husband may not realise just how little attention ha has been giving his wife. A wife can resent this and hence start to look elsewhere for her needs.
Wives cheat on husband in many ways. Wives often have time on their hands when they do not work so they have the ideal opportunity to cheat on their husbands. Wives may use the excuse to go shopping to sneak off to cheat on their husbands. They may be purchasing goods using their husbands cash or credit cards. They may even be buying gifts with the husbands hard earned money for their lovers and not even give this a thought. Things may even escalate out of all proportion and what was once a small gift may turn into a rather large expensive gift especially if the husband does not keep tabs on the wives expenditure.
If you have a family then it is even easier to cheat on your husband as you can use the excuse that you need more money to fund a child’s activity and whilst they are at school you are then free to go whenever and wherever you please to cheat on your husband. Cheating wives may not just cheat on their husbands by seeing one lover they may have several to keep them entertained. Once the wife has cheated on her husband and found that she can get attention elsewhere she is likely to roam further and often likes to be the centre of attentions at parties and flirt with whomever she can. Wives may even cheat behind their husbands back and even the husbands closest friends or brother can often be a prime target for a cheating wife.
Many wives cheat on their husbands to try and make their husbands jealous. This is a very dangerous situation as often when the husband finds out about his cheating wife he is absolutely furious and cannot understand why his wife has betrayed him as he has given her so much freedom to do and go as and where she pleases. Many wives expect their husbands to forgive and forget that they have strayed and cheated on their husbands. For some husbands this may be the case but for others they feel intimidated that their wives have cheated on them and do not wish to stay together any longer as the wife may keep cheating on them in the future. It must be remembered that many husbands take the view that once a cheating wife she will always be a cheating wife and they do not wish to share their wife with anyone and why should they!

Greater Gaming Notebook Saturation Good for Consumers
August 15th, 2008
Do you remember when laptops for gaming were a niche breed? The notebooks were circulated in small volumes but each laptops had a significant profit margin. I’m pretty sure everybody would have liked to have possessed one but were unable to actually justify it. I bet you would say they were the best laptops about, at least performance wise. I know we all got thrilled about them but the vast majority would never buy laptops that were so overpriced. As the international computer brands spot the potential revenues in gaming laptops, the business is shifting.
I bet they would categorise it as a premium laptop and make good amounts of profit on these particularly with their mass production techniques. This can be a great strategy to generate considerable margins for them. Convincing buyers to buy laptops is quite simple for international manufacturers. I bet smaller retailers are very unhinged about this. I reckon once it becomes marketed to the masses it will lose some of the appeal. In my point of view if anyone’s going to part with a lot of money the established brand always comes out victorious. In my point of view these manufacturers are churning out the best laptops at this point in time. In my point of view though, this is indeed a bright spot of hope for the local companies in retail. I can predict the choice of getting to customise the notebook computer to be a fundamental buying factor. These prospects have the technical know how and will judge which notebook computers are best. In some situations the power is far more important than the aesthetics for certain types of people.
For the purchaser, this holds a lot of positives. In the near future high end equipment for your cash will be the result of this change. Even though I say that, I’m not actually certain of my predictions. The best laptops are typically going to be out of reach to be telling the truth. As the gaming notebook niche becomes saturated with big companies, the majority will apply a wait and see tactic.

Dating Advice: You’ll Get the Right Man When You Believe You Can
August 15th, 2008
What do you believe about relationships?
Your beliefs are important because they determine the relationship (or lack of relationship) you end up with.
For example, if you believe that all men cheat, you’ll attract
cheaters. If you believe that men resist commitment, you’ll probably end up with a guy who’s in no hurry to sit for an engagement photo.
If you believe you don’t have what it takes to meet a guy who’ll love you for the rest of your life, guess what? You’re right.
Change your beliefs, and you’ll change the type of men –and
relationships — you attract.
If you find yourself dating the same type of guy over and over, it is definitely going to mess with your belief system (and it’s probably a result of your belief system!). You probably don’t think that a guy who’ll make you happy really exists. I’ll bet you find yourself working too hard every time you start a relationship, or go on a date, or even to a party.
Stop.
I want you to sit down and ask yourself what you want out of your next relationship. Decide what you want in a man, instead of obsessing over how to get a man, how to please a man, and how to dress for a man.
After you determine what you want, jot it down. Then write an
affirmation around it.
Here’s the one that worked for me:
“I am happily married to a loyal, loving, reliable, successful, fun man.”
(Because I formerly attracted guys who cheated, went hot and
cold on me, didn’t call or show up when they said they would, and weren’t particularly fun.)
I’d really feel it, too. I brought all my senses into what it would be like to be married to a loyal, loving, reliable, successful, fun man.
What would it look like?
Feel like?
Smell like?
Taste like?
Sound like?
When I wasn’t writing my affirmation, I went about my life as usual. I went to work. I hung out on Friday and Saturday nights with my friends. All the while, I kept writing (and feeling) my affirmations every day.
Then, the man I married walked into my life. The beautiful thing is, we’re actually happily married. Too many couples aren’t.
Would you like to be happily married someday?
You can have what you want if you know what you want, and if you believe it’s possible.
Affirmations will make it possible.
Decide what you want. Think up an affirmation and write it 15-20 times every single day. Before you know it, you’ll be dating better men, perhaps the one who’ll bring you joy for the rest of your life.

Watching for Poker Tells
August 14th, 2008
Poker tells are referred to the subtle changes in a poker player’s actions and body movements. They do exactly as the name implies, give you slight clues and hints about what the other player maybe thinking and feeling. Although you cannot rely on them one hundred percent, certain tells can give away whether a player has a strong hand or not.
A big red flag should come on when you see a player that looks a bit anxious. Some signs to look for are trembling hands, flexing muscles, dilated eye pupils, fidgeting, sweating and finger and heel tapping. To avoid some of these poker tells many players have been wearing sunglasses and pulled down baseball caps. When the face is less visible, it is harder to read it for any signs. Posture can also provide some information about the poker player’s hand. If a player is slouching, the chancing of him/her having a strong hand are less than if he/she was sitting upright with confidence.
Next time you find yourself sitting at a poker table, be conscious of your every action. Pay attention to where your eyes are wandering, avoid jittery movements and keep your hands and feet still. The last thing you want to do is accidentally give away your poker hand to the other players.
